“I really liked… the amicable part, and that’s all I’m hearing too, and that’s very rare,” JB said.

“So I’m really pleased with that, because he is an A Grade human being, Brad Scott.

“He’s a towering footy intellect, and I think he’s been a very good coach for 10 years.”

JB said he respected the way Scott always did the best thing for North.

“I haven’t spoken to Brad but my suspicion is he would’ve said ‘well if I’m not in your plans next year and beyond then you’re better off having clean air to go and get the person you want’, and that’s what I love about him,” JB said.

“He always — from the moment he walked into the club — put the club first, and this is another example of it.”

North won Scott’s last game in charge, knocking the Dogs off 18.7 (115) to 13.12 (90).
