James Hird joined The Rub this afternoon and was put on the spot to name his top three small forwards of the past 20 years. 

The first name that came to mind was Hawthorn goal sneak Cyril Rioli.

LISTEN TO HIRDY'S TOP 3 SMALL FORWARDS:

300 gamer Eddie Betts came in as his second choice, but the third spot was no so clear-cut. 

Hirdy eventually settled on St Kilda star Stephen Milne to round out his top three. 

Hird's former teammate Darren Bewick & North Melbourne's Brett Allison also rated a mention.

Hird's top three small forwards of the modern era:

1. Cyril Rioli

2. Eddie Betts

3. Stephen Milne.
