Melbourne midfielder Jay Kennedy-Harris was stretchered off in their JLT Community Series clash against Brisbane after appearing to hyperextend his knee.

Kennedy-Harris flew for the ball in the early stages of the second term but landed awkwardly on his right knee, going to ground instantly.

Play had to be stopped for Kennedy-Harris to be stretchered off.

He was later spotted walking around in the change rooms unassisted, but will likely miss the rest of the game.

The 23-year-old averaged 15 disposals a game in his six matches in 2018, receiving an opportunity late in the season before missing out on Melbourne's finals campaign.

He has played 34 games for the Demons across five seasons.
