Tanya and Steve spoke with Jim Callinan, who was in attendance for Jack Newton's memorial service in Newcastle.
The Australian golfing legend passed away due to ill health on April 15.
Newton was remembered as a sporting icon, larrikin and family man in a touching tribute.
"There was not a dry eye in the house," Callinan said.
The service attracted a range of Australian figures, from comedian Jimeoin to former Knights coach Michael 'Hages' Hagan.
