Aussie Rock royalty Jimmy Barnes has jumped on Triple M's attempts to build The Great Aussie Songbook this Oztober with two huge nominations.

Jimmy has seen, heard and created more of the best in Aussie rock than most, so when he speaks, we listen. 

He reckons the Songbook wouldn't be complete without these two absolute rippers from Powderfinger and Rose Tattoo - and tells his special connection to both songs:
