Joey Montagna Says The Marvel Stadium Turf Is “Not Good Enough”

Triple M Footy’s Joey Montagna says that the turf at Marvel Stadium is “not good enough for a round one fixture”.

“That’s that ordinary bit of turf… it’s something the AFL has gotta look at,” Joey said.

“It’s not good enough for a round one fixture.”

The turf was chopped up in front of the interchange gates, with sand put in divots in some areas.

At one point the emergency umpire had to come out and replace divots.

Marvel will be hosting Essendon v St Kilda and North Melbourne v Brisbane next week.
