Take part in the Upstream Foundation 20km Challenge this month to raise funds for 5 local charities.
Among the participants is Jess Holmes, who lost her 6-year-old son Henry nearly 5 years ago when he suffered a stroke, making him unable to walk or talk, and causing him epilepsy, asthma, respiratory illness, cataracts, and scoliosis.
According to Jess, one of the organisations to help their family was Very Special Kids, one of the 5 chosen charities to receive donations from the 20km Challenge. Jess stated that the walk is an opportunity for her to give back to the charity that helped her family in their time of need.
Very Special Kids supported us as a family when Henry was alive and continue to support us through an excellent bereavement program. I am not sure where we would be without their ongoing support... VSK is an amazing organisation that relies heavily on fundraising, I jumped at the opportunity to do the walk again.

The walk will begin on November 10th in Yarra Flats and end in Donvale, Melbourne. You can take part in the walk, or donate online to support incredible charities like Very Special Kids.
Last year my feet were a bit sore by the end of the day but that is a pain that will go away. The pain of losing a child doesn’t ever go away, VSK play a massive part in families been able to live with that pain.
