In breaking news, three people have been attacked by dogs in Sydney's west this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a residence on Vincennes Avenue in Tregear at 1pm.

Officers discovered on arrival that a 40-year-old man had sustained multiple bites and was in cardiac arrest.

He has been treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital in critical condition.

Another two people were also injured.

A 30-year-old woman and her 10-year-old daughter were also attacked by the two dogs and are being taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

The dogs have been secured, and Mount Druitt Police Area Command are investigating.
