Kevin Richards Memorial Oval Master Plan

On Monday night City of Karratha Council endorsed the Kevin Richards Memorial Oval Master Plan.

The $13.9M project is broken into five stages but could be expedited or broken down into further stages should funding become available. Some of the improvements included are: Play space redevelopment, pavilion refurbishment, new sporting change room construction to align with AFL guidelines , The Karratha Football and Sporting Club expansion and refurbishment, upgrade and replacement of sports lighting to the oval and a space allocated for the Karratha's Men's Shed.

Mayor Long said "Essentially, we decided to take it to the next stage which is the detailed design. It'll be a huge improvement."
