KFC Mayfield Staff Threatened With Knife

A man's used a knife to rob the KFC at Mayfield overnight.

He entered the fast food restaurant on Maitland Road as it was about to close just before midnight, threatening staff before making off with a small amount of cash.

The robber's Caucasian, has a large build and short light brown hair.

He was wearing a black jumper, grey pants and had a red cloth over his face.

It follows a hold up at the United service station at Merewether on Monday night where one of the two robbers also had a red cloth covering his face.
