Gold Coasters are being urged to lace up their joggers, don their best pink outfits, and take a stand against cancer this weekend.

Cancer Council Queensland is hosting the inaugural Walk for Women's Cancers on the Glitter Strip on Saturday, raising funds to help fight breast and gynecological cancers.

Organiser Megan Connors said cancer touches the lives of many of our loved ones.

"Over 4000 women every year will be diagnosed with a breast or gynecological cancer, so this is a great way to come together and support one-another," she said.

Walkers can choose to stroll 3km or 6km at 8am tomorrow at Kurrawa Park, followed by entertainment and festivities.

Registrations open at 7am, and entry costs $25-$30 for anyone over 18.
