Las Vegas Circuit Confirmed As New Formula 1 Event

A third Formula 1 race will be hosted in the United States next season, with a Las Vegas Grand Prix confirmed.

In a return to the F1 calendar after appearing on the circuit schedule during the 1980s, the new track will be held as a lap around the City of Sin's biggest landmarks.

Top speeds are predicted to reach over 340 km/h, the circuit length tallies to 6.12km.

The inaugural race-meet will be held in November 2023, planned for an electric Saturday night event.

"This is an incredible moment for Formula 1 that demonstrates the huge appeal and growth of our sport with a third race in the US," said F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali.

"Las Vegas is a destination known around the world for its excitement, hospitality, thrills, and of course, the famous Strip.

“There is no better place for Formula 1 to race than in the global entertainment capital of the world and we cannot wait to be here next year.

"I want to thank everyone who helped deliver this event, especially Governor Sisolak, the Clark County Commission, Steve Hill at the [Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority], and our local partners.”
