After a couple of years on no international travel, Coasties would be forgiven for wanting to venture overseas. But if Italy is on the bucket list, be aware of this.

Last month the Italian coastal town of Sorrento began handing tourists €500 (A$728) fines for walking the streets in a bikini.  

“If you go topless or wear inappropriate clothes on the beach, big fines” Rob Palmer from 107.7 Tripe M breakfast said “whereas on the Central Coast, Birdie Beach is dedicated to it”

But that’s not all, you can also get fined for things like not having the correct bag, swimming or building sandcastles.
