Western Bulldog’s tough nut Liam Picken is no certainty to return to football, revealing yesterday to the Herald Sun that he is still suffering concussion related headaches.

Even after 11 months on the sidelines Picken is sitting out of the majority of training as he continues to work through the symptoms.

“I’m still getting headaches. That’s the main issue, so I’ve got to work through them and just continue get better and get rid of the headaches,” Picken said.

“I’m still on the sidelines (for training) just trying to work through that and I’ll be guided by the medical experts and just follow their advice.”

Picken did not play a single home and away game last year after being knocked out in a marking contest in a pre-season match.
