In a recent interview with Stereogum, recently fired Fleetwood Mac band member Lindsey Buckingham has aired some dirty laundry- in true Fleetwood Mac style.

A band that has thrived on drama over their 40 year career ain't stopping now with Buckingham telling the music website the shocking truth apart his departure.

The key member of the band was dramatically dumped earlier this year, being replaced by Neil Finn and Mike Campbell.

Buckingham referred to the band as "a cover band kind of deal", but he's see's his sudden departure from the band as a blessing, giving him the chance to work on his solo record.

Buckingham added; "if they asked me to come back, I would"- good thing he won't stop thinking about tomorrow. It's a hard chain to break.
