Hawthorn super coach Alastair Clarkson bumped into Eddie McGuire courtside at the Lakers v 76ers game at Staples Centre in LA, and gave the Hot Breakfast his thoughts on the new rule changes.

Clarko says that “centre bounce goals are gonna go north” with the introduction of the 6-6-6 rule, with more space for players at each restart.

Clarko — in LA on his way to a conference in Atlanta — also spoke about lessons the AFL can take from overseas sports, and how footy as a code is ahead of international games.
