Damian Barrett told the Saturday Rub this afternoon that he believes Essendon need to own up to the mismanagement of Joe Daniher.

After an extended stint on the sidelines, Essendon reintroduced Daniher to AFL footy by playing him in three games within a fifteen day period.

Despite this being the case, Essendon deny that the relapse of Daniher's injury was due to poor management.

“(He played) three games in fifteen days after twelve months off,” Barrett said.

“We now know that he is going to be missing, again, the second half of the season for the second consecutive year.

“I don’t know how you can say this is not mismanaged.”

BT also revealed that no one at Essendon is willing to take responsibility.
