Eddie McGuire has announced on The Hot Breakfast some major changes to The Footy Show for 2019.
Eddie and Sam Newman will host a series of specials throughout the year looking back on moments from the past with a brand new midweek show in the works.

"We're going to have a completely new format next year," Eddie announced.
“We’re going to have an expanded Footy Show offering for the public this year."
Newman has also signed a new multi-year deal with Channel 9.
McGuire and Newman will not be hosting the regular mid-week show, which Eddie claims will receive a huge shake-up.
"It will be a completely new take on what footy shows need to be going forward," Eddie said.
“Sam Newman and myself will host a series of footy show specials.
“I’m so excited. We’re going to have a lot of fun."
