Eddie McGuire has defended extreme feminist Clementine Ford on the Hot Breakfast this morning after she caused a social media storm over the weekend.
Ford tweeted that the coronavirus pandemic 'wasn't killing men quick enough', which has lead to to Lord Mayor Sally Capp to bring her City of Melbourne grant into questioning.
McGuire said that although Ford's comments were over the top, she was trying to raise awareness to the growing rate of domestic violence cases and her words shouldn't be taken literally.
Eddie debated the issue with news reader Seb Costello.
