LISTEN | “If that was your only source of water, you’ve got nothing” - How you can donate to fire-affected communities

The despair left behind from weeks of bush fires has left many families around Queensland and across the country with next to nothing.

We Queenslanders pride ourselves as generous helping people who are always willing to lend a hand to those in need but sometimes it can be difficult to know where to start.

Fortunately GIVIT, an organisation run by the Queensland Government exists for this very purpose.

GIVIT supports the people impacted by fires with 100% of donations going towards purchasing essential items for these affected families.

This morning The Big Breakfast spoke with the Queensland Manager for GIVIT, Jo Beadle who told us that we can do more than just donate money to help those in fire-affected communities.
