Kalyn Ponga is raring to go ahead of the 2019 NRL season, after a successful first (full) year in the NRL.

Ponga starred for the Knights, finishing second in the Dally M count and also made his debut for the Maroons in Game II of last year's Origin series.

However, Ponga is set for a positional switch in 2019 with Knights' coach Nathan Brown opting to start Ponga alongside Mitchell Pearce in the halves.

It's something which Ponga is relishing, especially with Brown giving him license to roam around the field.

The Knights star opened up on the positional switch to Triple M's The Rush Hour with MG.
