LISTEN | Rory Sloane Explains To Jars & Louie How He Became Adelaide's Co-Captain

Rory Sloane has told Triple M's Jars and Louie how he was given the co-captaincy of Adelaide for 2019, alongside Tex Walker.

SLOANE EXPLAINS THE DECISION:

Sloane joined Triple M Adelaide hours after the decision was made official, which saw Adelaide confirm their first co-captains in their history.

He said it was nothing to do with the contract discussions from 2018, telling Jars & Louie it emerged from a request from Walker and coach Don Pyke.

"I asked them basically why, and is it going to help make us better?" he said.

"They both assured me that it was going to help make us better this year and help us achieve what we want to.

"For me, there was no other option otherwise."
