Adelaide co-captain Rory Sloane has told Triple M's Rush Hour with Jars and Louie his side's start to the season is "obviously not good enough", but has backed his team to respond this weekend.

The Crows have slumped to a 1-3 start after their loss to North Melbourne last weekend, which sees them sit 14th on the ladder.

Sloane said the side is "under no illusions" about where the side is at, and that it's something the club is "not accepting".

"It's obviously not good enough at the moment," he told Triple M.

"We'll accept where we're at. We're obviously sitting 1-3 which hasn't met our expectations, but we're there and all we can do now is respond and make sure we come out this weekend and play the footy we really want to."
