Sparks flew in the Hot Breakfast studio this morning when newsreader — and Essendon fan — Seb Costello and Collingwood president Eddie McGuire got stuck into one another about the umpiring in the ANZAC Day game.

Seb said he was sat next to a 99-year-old veteran named Frank, “and even with failing eyesight, he could see that the umpiring was absolutely revolting”.
Things went up a notch when Ed shooshed Seb, before Seb suggested Pies captain Scott Pendlebury is soft.
“Hey go easy alright, or you’ll see how tough the Collingwood president is,” Ed said.
“I’ll come over and give you a flogging! You have a go at Scott Pendlebury’s toughness and we’ll see how we go alright!”
The banter was all in good humour despite the tense atmosphere of the actual game, which the Pies won 10.13 (73) to 10.9 (69).
