The weekend’s images of a crowded Bondi beach were enough to make anyone scratch their heads.

Despite the Government’s instruction to practice social distancing, thousands appeared to flagrantly ignore warnings put in place for the public health and safety to reduce the spread of COVID-19. 

Usually you’ll find Marto jovially at loggerheads with anyone born in the last twenty-five years but this morning The Big Breakfast host pleaded with young people to take things seriously as Australia braces for tighter restrictions amid the Coronavirus pandemic. 

Broadcasting from isolation at his home this morning, Martin, 56, told listeners that there are too many people not taking this pandemic seriously with numerous job cuts on the horizon

“The world’s not just all fun and games and drinking beer”
