Tom Browne believes Carlton has "reached out" to Paul Roos to be involved in their process for selecting a new head coach "in some capacity".
Roos has been out of the coaching caper since handing over the reins to Simon Goodwin at Melbourne at the end of 2016.
Browne believes Roos, who won a drought-breaking premiership with Sydney in 2005, has been contacted by Carlton.
"I do believe Carlton, through an informal source, has reached out to 'Roosy' to participate in their process in some capacity," he said.
"I'll keep a keen eye on that."
