Hot Breakfast chief footy reporter Tom Browne has pleaded not guilty to the charge of putting his used chewy in Mark Howard’s binoculars on Triple M’s Friday night footy coverage.

Browne conceded eventually that he did it, but not intentionally.
“It may have happened,” he said, but maintained his innocence.
“Not guilty, no intention… I think Browny (Nathan Brown) gave me some Extra before the segment, and I was all pumped up during and I’ve obviously put it down on the desk and it somehow got on the binoculars.”
Howie blew up when it first happened on Friday night, accusing his co-commentators of planting the chewy before eventually confronting Tom Browne.
