The Eagles played in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena last night, and Wil Anderson couldn’t resist using it to bring up the Pies’ Grand Final loss to West Coast to Eddie McGuire on the Hot Breakfast this morning.

“You must have absolutely hated it, because it just across the road (from the Pies’ home base the Holden Centre), everybody’s celebrating the Eagles yet again on your home turf,” Wil said.

“There’s another concert again tonight so they’re gonna go back to back!”

Ed was squirming but Wil wouldn’t be stopped.

“I heard that much like grand final day the gig started slow but they came home very strong,” Wil said.

“The encore was very very good!”
