"These people are selfish, they don’t care about the actual answer" - LNP Leader Deb Frecklington on Climate Change Protesters

LNP leader Deb Frecklington appeared on this morning's show to talk about her plans for tougher legislation against the climate change protesters who have caused such disruption to Brisbane's CBD in recent weeks. 

"The current laws only apply if a protester uses a lock-on device, whereas I’ve proposed some really tough laws that are going to bring down heavy fines and jail time if these people continue to disrupt, stopping traffic, hanging from bridges", she told Marto, Margaux and Nick Cody. 

In comments bound to be viewed as controversial in some quarters, she said of the protesters themselves, "These people are selfish, they don’t care about the actual answer. What they’re interested in is getting on the front page of the paper and in the news".
