Local Farmer Predicts Drought For Far North Queensland

This morning on Triple M Cairns, Maddi & Mark talked to local farmer Warren Jonsson to help us understand what farmers are facing with the drought.

Jonsson shared his experience through the 1993 drought, which led him to being hospitalised with depression after suffering a breakdown.

“It’s a real battle for us as farmers,” he said, claiming that they receive no support from governments.

“It’s not only governments we need supporting. People out there need moral support and they need people in cities – our city cousins – to support rural Australia.”
