Drought relief on the way from Violet Town to Walgett NSW
The hay is on its way!
Thanks to the generosity of some local farmers, and a LOT of teamwork across the Goulburn Valley, help is on the way for NSW farmers affected by the drought.
Shaun from Landmark Benalla contacted Triple M Goulburn Valley about his generous clients Judy and Bill.
The Violet Town farmers had extra hay and wanted to send it north, but how could we get it there?
Seany for Breakfast then put the call out for help.
Legendary Invergordon farmer Eddie donated his truck and offered to drive the hay up, but who'd pay for the fuel?
Petrostar Euroa stepped up and donated the diesel for Eddie’s truck.
Other farmers have also donated hay after hearing about this on the radio, so generous.
Shaun from Landmark Benalla has worked his butt off getting the hay together in his spare time.
The destination for the Goulburn Valley hay donation is Walgett NSW, as Shaun’s NSW contacts tell him that the folk of Walgett are really struggling.
It takes teamwork to make the dream work.
