Machete man tries to run over teen

A Labrador man is set to front court after allegedly driving his car at a teenager while waving a machete out the window in Crestmead.

An argument is believed to have broke out between the two men on Sunday, when the 18-year-old resident confronted the driver after spotting him sitting in a car on his street for some time.

The man drove off before returning a few hours later with another man, allegedly making more threats before being arrested.

He was charged with going armed as to cause fear, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and obstruct police.

He will face Southport Magistrates Court on Friday.
