The hunt continues for a man wielding a sword or machete in Arundel, who's believed to have cut a woman's leg open.
Police said they were called to a park at the corner of Brisbane Road and Olsen Avenue around 11:50am on Wednesday, with reports of the man walking around with the weapon on his back.
It's believed a woman in her 30's, who is known to him, was chasing him through the park.
She was eventually treated by paramedics and taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Police believe the pair may be known to each other.
