 A man has pled guilty after spitting in a woman’s face at a Cannonvale drive-thru. The twenty-seven year old was allegedly verbally abusive towards the female staff member on Paluma Road last month before spitting in her face and driving off. He was arrested on Sunday and charged with common assault, public nuisance and driving unlicensed, facing Proserpine Magistrates Court yesterday where he was given a four month custodial sentence.

The Great Barrier Reef will soon be mapped in unprecedented 3D detail. A collaboration between The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and the University of Queensland will see state-of-the-art satellite imagery and other data to map the area. The maps will be used as the base layer to develop an online visualisation of the Reef 2050 Integrated Monitoring and Reporting Program.
