Mackay Mayor Greg Williamson Has Been Officially Sworn In

Mackay Mayor Greg Williamson has been officially sworn in by CEO Craig Doyle in a low-key ceremony today.

Cr Williamson was elected unopposed after the weekend’s poll and has been sworn in immediately. That allows him to officially take up his position as Mayor, as well as chair of the Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG). This morning’s ceremony adhered to social distancing requirements, with no guests present.
