Track closures are happening on the Ipswich-Rosewood and Springfield lines affecting the first service on Saturday August 4, to the last service on Sunday August 5.
Buses will replace trains from Corinda to Rosewood and Springfield Central stations, head of Translink Matt Longman said travellers should add approximately 60 minutes to their estimated journey time.
"Public transport is still an option this weekend if you're heading to events like the Lions game or Brisbane Marathon, regular rail replacement buses will be running from the train stations but customers should allow some extra time to catch these buses," he said.
Normal train services will resume from the first service on Monday 6 August.
There will also be closures from Roma Street to Corinda from 9.30pm until last service on Saturday night.
