The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter battled strong winds on Saturday afternoon to airlift a man to Newcastle.
Around 3:15pm the Tamworth based helicopter was called to Kremnos, west of Woolgoolga following reports of a cliff fall.
On arrival, a 51 year old man had been recovered by SES and emergency services after falling about 16 metres down a cliff face.
The man was treated at the scene for chest and pelvic injuries as well as abrasions.
He was then flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter for further treatment.
