Police have arrested a man following an alleged assault on a man and a woman in Millicent.
Just after 7am on Friday 8 March, patrols were called to a take-away shop on George Street after reports of a woman seeking assistance from staff.
Police will allege the woman had a verbal altercation with a man known to her and made her way to the shop to seek assistance. The man followed her and allegedly pushed a staff member in the chest before trying to drag the woman outside. The man left prior to police arriving but was located nearby and arrested.
The 21-year-old of no fixed address was charged with assault, aggravated assault and property damage after he allegedly smashed the glass door to the shop.
He has been refused bail and will appear in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
