Around 3:45pm yesterday (Tuesday 30 January 2018), Police and St John Ambulance officers were called to a home on Holbrook Street in Margaret River.

It is alleged a physical altercation took place between a 67 year old man and a 75 year old man who are known to each other.

It is further alleged during the altercation the 75 year old man received life threatening injuries.

He was conveyed to the Margaret River Hospital before being flown by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to Royal Perth Hospital.

Busselton Detectives have charged the 67 year old man from Margaret River with Grievous Bodily Harm and Aggravated Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm.

He is due to appear before the Bunbury Magistrates Court this morning, 31 January 2018.


The 75 year old man has since died in hospital.

Homicide Squad detectives are travelling to Margaret River to conduct further inquiries.

Charges may be upgraded pending the results of these inquiries.
