Man charged after scissors robbery
Faces Wyong court today.
Court today for a 25 year old Bateau Bay man, who allegedly robbed a woman at Cresthaven shopping centre armed with a pair of scissors last month.
On May 4th, the 52 year old woman was walking along a backtrack from the centre when confronted by the man.
He allegedly held the scissors at the woman's throat after she refused to hand over money and other property, but the woman gave him what he wanted after he produced the weapon.
Following investigations, Tuggerah Lakes police attended an address in Bateau Bay last night, finding the man who then tried to run away.
He was promptly caught and arrested, and has been charged with armed robbery.
