Man Charged with Rape in Gatton

Police have charged a man after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted in Gatton yesterday afternoon.

Police will allege that a man followed the woman to her house in Gatton and then sexually assaulted her before leaving the house with a number of items.

Police located the man at an address in Laidley Heights yesterday where they also located the alleged stolen property.

The woman was treated for non-life threatening injures.

A 26-year-old Laidley Heights man has been charged with three counts of rape and one count each of burglary and stealing.
