Man Critical After Newcastle One Punch Attack
Police have made an arrest..
A man is in a serious condition after a one punch attack in Newcastle.
Police say an altercation broke out between two men, just before 6:30pm on Sunday night outside the Queens Wharf Hotel.
It's alleged a 43-year-old man struck a 45-year-old in the face, causing him to fall and crack his head on the concrete.
The victim was taken to the John Hunter Hospital for surgery and remains in a critical but stable condition.
The accused was arrested nearby and will face Newcastle Local Court on February 1.
