Man Ends Up with New Charges after Courthouse Appearance
And another court date
A Toowoomba man who faced court yesterday on ‘wilful damage charges’ has secured himself another court date after allegedly smashing a screen at the courthouse.
The 27-year-old man was witnessed by security at the Toowoomba Courthouse punching the monitor on the ground floor – the man had left the building by the time officers had arrived on scene.
Police later apprehended the man in Mort Street, after receiving calls from the public about a man’s behaviour, and was taken to the watch house where he was charged with yet another ‘wilful damage’ charge.
He will re-appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates court on June 6.
