A man has only gotten away with a few cartons of smokes, after holding up a Nerang service station with a knife overnight.
A worker locked herself in a back room when she saw the man enter the Riverview Road business while armed, around 8pm on Wednesday.
He took off on foot a short time later with some cigarettes.
Police are calling for anyone with relevant dashcam footage or further information to come forward.
