Man Injured, House Destroyed In Erina Fire
Rescued by neighbours.
UPDATE 1500 21/2/2018 - The 75 year old man has been taken to the specialist burns unit at Royal North Shore Hospital for further treatment. His condition is stable.
An elderly man has been injured and his house completely destroyed, after fire in Erina overnight.
Four Fire and Rescue Crews arrived on Kuburra Road around 11pm, finding the back of a house alight.
The man in his Seventies was rescued by neighbours, and taken to Gosford Hospital suffering smoke inhalation and burns to his feet.
While the firies had the flames out after an hour of fighting, preventing the fire spreading to surrounding properties.
They're not treating the inferno as suspicious, while there's no word on the cause yet.
