Man Refused Bail In Court After Being Charged With Mother's Manslaughter
She was shot on Saturday
A 22-year-old man has been refused bail in Brisbane Magistrates Court today after being charged over the manslaughter of a woman - now identified as his mother.
The 53-year-old woman's body was found by family in her home in Taigum on Saturday.
The bail application for the man has revealed the woman died from a gunshot wound to the chest, but it's unclear what role the man played in the gun's discharge.
The court heard the woman, identified as Giustina Katerina Lawlor, was heard crying out before she was found in her laundry by a family member.
Emergency services were called to the property, but paramedics were unable to revive the woman.
