The body of a man has been located in a vehicle in the Clarence River near Grafton.
About 7am on Saturday, a member of the public located the vehicle submerged in the river off Rogan’s Bridge at Seelands.
Emergency services were contacted and the body of a 43 year old man was extricated from the vehicle.
Investigations suggest the Toyota Landcruiser was travelling north over Rogan’s Bridge, when for unknown reasons it left the road and entered the water.
It is believed the incident occurred on the 16th or 17th of January.
Officers from Coffs Clarence Police District are investigating the circumstances of the crash and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
