Speaking on "The Night Shift" with Luke Bona, Brett Crealy recalls his accident on Hamilton Island. He was believed to have been suffering the side effects of the sleeping pill Stilnox when he Fell 12 Storeys! Mark, a plumber who was working on Hamilton Island at the time, was listening in at the time and called in to have a chat to Brett about his miraculous survival.

The Whitsunday Times reported the story on April 6th 2007: "THE man who survived a fall from the 12th floor of Hamilton Island's Reef View hotel in February could have been suffering the side effects of the sleeping pill Stilnox, southern pharmacists said last week.

Twenty-three-year-old Brett Crealy broke his leg and received back injuries after falling from the balcony on February 22.

Police reports at the time said Mr Crealy fell through a Colorbond roof when he tried jumping from the balcony into the resort pool.

However, it was revealed this week that prior to the incident Mr Crealy had been taking Stilnox - a drug which has raised concerns about its side effects which are said to include sleepwalking and hallucinations.

There are believed to be at lease three unconfirmed cases of Stilnox users falling off balconies.

At least 300 Stilnox users have called a consumer hotline in the past few months claiming the sleeping drug has serious side effects"
