Man Under Police Guard In Hospital After North Ward Fire

Townsville Police are investigating after an early morning balcony fire sparked in the CBD today.  

Emergency crews arrived to find smashed glass after the firies got the blaze out. 

The St James Place balcony didn't receive any major damage from the fire. 

A man aged in his 40s has been taken to the Townsville Hospital under police guard and no one has been charged as yet.
