A man in his fifties was airlifted by the Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight helicopter, after his leg was injured in a farming machinery incident, on a property south-west of Toowoomba Friday afternoon.

An RACQ LifeFlight doctor and a critical care paramedic from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS), worked alongside QAS ground paramedics to treat the man's crushed limb.

He was in a stable condition when he was flown to Toowoomba Hospital at around 4.30pm.
